The Reginald Anderson Memorial Scholarship

The Reginald Anderson Memorial Scholarship honors the life of Reginal Anderson, an adult probation officer with the state of Connecticut, who passed away in 2014 following a courageous battle with glioblastoma. The scholarship carries on his love for education by supporting survivors and caregivers in their pursuit of a college education.

The Reginald Anderson Memorial Scholarship was created in 2015 by Gina Lowther with generous contributions from family, friends, and community members.

“Education was very important to Reggie,” Gina said. “He graduated from South Windsor High School, where he played football as a defensive lineman. He advanced to Springfield College and graduated with a B.S. in Social Services. Reggie enjoyed his job and took pride in his role. His kind, gentle soul lives on in the memories he has left his loved ones with."
