"Holden It Together"May 1, 2014
New Milford Softball will host Newtown Softball in a "gray out" game called "Holden It Together" on May 7, 2014 at 4:15 PM as part of Brain Tumor Awareness Month.
Eileen Holden, Head Varsity Softball Coach at New Milford High School, is organizing the event to promote brain cancer awareness and to raise money for brain cancer research. Her father was recently diagnosed with a glioblastoma brain tumor. During the game, the softball program will be selling baked goods, "Holden It Together" bracelets, and "Holden It Together" t-shirts, with all proceeds to be donated to the Connecticut Brain Tumor Alliance ("CTBTA").
Both teams will be wearing gray ribbons and sweat bands, and the New Milford team will be outfitted in new gray uniforms for the cause.
Please come out and support this wonderful effort for the CTBTA, these two great teams, some exciting high school softball, and Coach Holden and her family.
