Cyber Security AlertDecember 19, 2018
Dear CT Brain Tumor Alliance Donors and Potential Donors:
We remain eternally grateful for the support you show us, and cannot thank you enough for your generosity and commitment to the Connecticut Brain Tumor Alliance, Inc. ("CTBTA") and our cause. As you consider giving to our organization in the future, we want to ensure you that every transaction that takes place between CTBTA and our donors is 100% secure, and your generous offering will be fully safeguarded. Given the heightened state of cybersecurity awareness in which we live, we thought it was important to give you this assurance; your donation is sacred to us and we plan to treat it as such.
Recently, we have been made aware of an out-of-state scam that is fraudulently taking money from people under the false pretense that they are making a donation to CTBTA. In case you happen to hear of this, please be assured that we have contacted local and state authorities on the matter, and we are working with them to ensure this criminal activity is brought quickly to an end. Allow us to also advise you that CTBTA does not send out unsolicited pleas for contributions without first making contact with the individual or organization. If such an unsolicited inquiry comes to you, please do not respond to it and let us know via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thank you again for your wonderful support of our organization.
